Isabelle Bettinger, M2C 2003

« I was very surprised and happy when I started sending my résumé to various companies to see that more than half of them called me and showed interest for my profile. What changed really is that I attended the M2C Specialized Mastère during a period of economic slowdown and the choice was there …. »

Jean Guillon, M2C English Track

« My name is Jean Guillon. I graduated from ESC Toulouse, obtained a bachelor degree and have been working for almost five years in the web advertising industry. I had the opportunity to take a break and do the Master in Marketing Management and Communication. As an ex-executive, I had the chance to finance half of my degree by the State (Ministry of work).

With a business school background, I finished my last internship in the tourism indudtry at Degriftour.com (today Lastminute.com). My job was to enhance the traffic on this website and find partnerships. I had almost no knowledge in this subject and no rules were set…

We called this period the “Internet el dorado” a time when everything was possible. A great budget, a lot of money to spend! I left Degriftour with a huge interest for the Internet and then worked for different firms with a multi task profile : I developed and sold web positioning offers as a technical-commercial, I built and managed web sites as a webmaster, and advertised, mass mailed, indexed and coded as a traffic manager.

I worked for a French press group as a “Project Traffic manager” for three years until the net started to show difficulties. Many investments were made in non profitable websites that follow bad economical models using the advertising only to finance web portals. The job starting to be the same everyday with no short, medium nor long term strategy envisioned. It was time to sit down and think about the future. For this reason I decided to go back to studying, leaving my job with a wife and a little boy at home…

Taking M2C with its e-marketing and e-business modules is a chance to get better knowledge on basic concepts. Up to now, I had learned everything “on-job the job”. While I was working, I was very motivated and I think this period is the right moment in a professional lifetime to learn more from other professionals.

The future of Web advertising is becoming part of traditional media plans but budgets are not the same today so it is important to “be able” in this domain but also in others. With an internship at Airbus, I hope to bring new ideas in the project I’ll be working on. I also plan to present a communication web based project. Of course I’ll be searching elsewhere in the NTIC industry and international advertising, marketing and public relations agencies. »

Stéphanie Seurot, M2C English Track

« Since I spent a big part of my holidays in Germany and in Austria when I was a child, I have always had a great sympathy and a good feeling for the German language.

After a scientific baccalauréat, I decided to study International business at the Business School of Bordeaux. I followed a French-German program : two years in France (Bordeaux) and two years in Germany (Münster) which included a six months training period in each country. I discovered very respectful and open-minded people, who were fond of not only our French food, but also of our language and our country. Germans are our best partners on an economical level, and I am sure that we will keep on nurturing this relationship.

During this wonderful time I spent in Germany, I met people from Russia, the Emirates, Morocco, Yemen, Poland and also from Ivory Coast!

Last June, I obtained my double French-German diploma.

I knew that it would be difficult to succeed in international business without speaking English, that’s why I decided to specialise in Marketing and registered to the M2C Mastère at the ESC Group of Toulouse. I did so, not only because of the very good reputation of the school but also because of the opportunity I had to follow the English track, the only one in France to teach Marketing in English.

In the months to come, I will move again to Germany for a 7 months’ internship at BAYER AG, a chemical firm based in Leverkusen. When it is finished, I intend to stay in Germany for some time, in order to contribute to the development of the French-German business relationships. »
